Qualifying Education
(As of April 29, 2024)
Listed below are the courses approved for appraiser qualifying education credit as of the date shown above. Course sponsors are listed alphabetically with their approved courses and approved hours. You must contact the course sponsor to obtain information regarding course schedules and locations. Only the courses with the "O/L" are approved for online qualifying education credit. If you are taking a course to obtain an appraiser registration, license or certificate, you must take and pass the exam in order to receive a course completion certificate. If you do not pass the exam, you are still allowed to receive continuing education credit.
Courses not marked O/L may be offered in the classroom or in a synchronous format. Synchronous courses are live courses taught in a virtual format such as Zoom, WebEx, etc., and have direct interaction with the instructor. Asynchronous courses are self-paced, allowing the student to log in at any time and the instructor interaction is usually limited to email.
A trainee, licensee or certificate holder may receive continuing education credit by taking any of the Board's approved precertification courses, other than Basic Appraisal Principles, Basic Appraisal Procedures or their approved equivalents. In order to do this, you will need to submit a copy of the course completion certificate with a cover letter asking us to apply your qualifying education hours to your CE.
If the sponsor allows you to opt out of taking the exam, for continuing education only, you will need to obtain a certificate of attendance that excludes the hours for the exam.
